Operations Team Leader - London - £35-40k pa + Benefits
Are you an Operations Team Leader with a solid understanding of Operating Systems (Linux in particular, Windows, Sun Solaris), Relational Databases (Oracle, MySQL or other similar), Application Servers (Macromedia JRun, BEA Weblogic or other similar), Mail Stores (MS Exchange, Critical Path, Sun One), Web Servers*Proxies (IIS, Apache, Squid or Zeus) and Networking (TCP*IP) technologies? Do you have at least 3 years commercial operations and application support experience? Would you like to work at the leading edge of Internet Technology and share in the rewards of a successful company? Then this is the job for you!
You must have at least 1 year of Operations Team Leader experience. You must have excellent knowledge of
- Operating Systems : Linux (Essential); Windows 2000, Sun Solaris, Mac OS (Desirable)
- RDBMS : Oracle, MySQL or other similar
- Application Servers : Macromedia JRun, BEA Weblogic or other similar
- Mail Stores : MS Exchange 5.5*2000, Critical Path, Sun One
- Web Servers*Proxies : At least one of IIS, Apache, Squid, Zeus
- TCP*IP and Networking
You must have a good understanding of performance tuning for all of these as well. Responsibilities will include application*system deployment*installation, configuration and troubleshooting within a 24*7support environment. This role requires substantial hands-on experience with the ability to manage a small team. You must have good communication skills with an excellent academic record and have the ability to work well under pressure.
